Romeo, Romeo ... No, it's our Rob and Julie!
One way of deepening understanding of text is to get the children to dress up and act it out! My class had a lot of fun creating their very own modern-day version of Romeo and Juliet, using freeze-frame and tableaux. Filming and photographing their work enabled the children to produce photostories, films, blogs and comic strips.

Look out for 'Short stories from the classroom' where I am starting to write a diary of successful mantles, as well as examples of enquiry based learning - with lots of drama! This will include some retrospective mantles.
